Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Last updated: 1 May 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Yogic City ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information we collect

Account information: name, email, phone number, password (hashed), date of birth, gender, and profile photo.

Location: approximate location (city, latitude/longitude) when you allow it, used to find nearby instructors.

Booking & payment data: classes booked, transaction IDs, refund history. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment processor (Razorpay) and never stored on our servers.

Usage data: pages visited, features used, device type, browser, IP address, and approximate location for security and analytics.

Communications: messages exchanged with instructors and our support team.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To process bookings, payments, and refunds.
  • To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, password resets).
  • To match you with relevant instructors and classes.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
  • To comply with legal obligations.
  • With your explicit consent, to send marketing communications you can opt out of at any time.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Instructors you book — your name, photo, and contact only as required for the class.
  • Service providers — payment processors, email delivery, cloud hosting, analytics, all bound by data-protection agreements.
  • Legal authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

5. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and similar laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your account and data.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise these rights, email us at contact@yogiccity.fit.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted password storage (bcrypt), role-based access control, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure — we recommend using a strong unique password and enabling any available security features.

7. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. After deletion, we keep transactional records (bookings, payments) as required by Indian tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years). Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

8. Children's privacy

Yogic City is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the website at least 30 days before they take effect.
